Not lion spotting, star spotting or aircraft spotting. Yurt spotting. It’s when busloads of tourists (dom & intl) flocked into the grassland to find the only few yurts (adm: traditional Mongolian tents*) left, take photos in front of the yurt, pet the camels, then go back home to print/email them to friends and brag about it – or post it in the blog. Like me.
We didn’t actually go that far into the grassland. It’s already a bit too windy for baby since it’s the end of summer. A friend who runs a hotel property in a neighboring city came to visit and we thought it’s a good idea to show him a bit of Hohhot – which is not much, really. To your left is the moslem street, to your right is the biggest buddhist temple in town…… errr….. because it’s the only one *cough*. Straight ahead is the vast endless grassland. There you go. Take a photo and go home already. Just kidding! We’re being good hosts. Honestly! We remembered to stock up on chilled white wine.
The baby was sound asleep for the entire drive. They’re right about babies love traveling in cars. We made a few stops and finally found a big enough yurt to show our friend. A resto-motel just like the one they have in the grassland. One huge restaurant in the center surrounded by bungalows in the shape of yurts. This would do. So we stopped for a wine & snacks break.
Yihaaa…itu si Bri, muka baru bangun tidur tuh. senyum napah Bri..*judes keq emak nya hihihi..*
Dududuuud..itu pintu ya, klo gue ada disana, gue ambil deh tuh..

Waduuuuh, briana makin lama makin cantik. mommy hebat ngurusnya, makannya bagus sampe pipinya montok gitu, nenek seneeeeng banget. Itu baju de best udah ampir gak muat ya.
@ Nenek : dah banyak lagi baju2 dia yang udah ga muat. Lebarnya masih pas, tapi panjangnya dah ga cukup. Beneran dia memanjang banget kayanya bu
Aku dah diomelin baby sitter berkali-kali – menurut dia aku kasi makan kebanyakan. Sampe kembung perutnya, itu perut ditunjuk-tunjuk sama si mbak….
Kan mau jadi juara dunia renang, psti tinggi lah badannya.
