In the previous stay in Beijing, during breakfast I gave Briana a breakfast roll that she learned to like. I think it was a whole wheat type that’s quite chewy and lasted quite a while. She seemed to like it because she didn’t drop it to the floor within the next 10 seconds like her other teething stuff. She stops gumming all of her teething toys and prefers to have food instead. I still don’t give her fruit or vegetable as finger food. She choked on steamed carrot once. Let’s just stay on hard bread rolls and breadsticks for now, okay Bri? At least she can soften them up in her mouth and it’s a great thing to rub her itchy gum with.
Ever since that breakfast, Bri is interested everytime we’re having lunches or dinners and always wants to be involved watching the entire activity intently. Occasionally she would reach out into our plates — hesitantly, as she knows she’s not allowed to do so — and that’s a cue for me or Mike to give her a piece of bread roll or breadstick. A chef in Beijing gave her a handful of those breadsticks that she loves.
From that day on, I carry breadsticks everywhere I go. It’s like part of the “essentials” carried in her diaper bag — changing mat, extra diapers, extra dummies, dummy holder, tiny plastic bags to wrap dirty diapers in, baby powder, milk container for 3 feeds, extra milk bottle, a jar of pureed pear, feeding spoon, bib and napkins, baby wipes, Bonjella, Pawpaw lotion, jacket/sweater, hat, blanket and breadsticks….
I’m going to start baking my own breadsticks for her

Waktu Jake and Matt segede Bri, aku selalu beliin Gerber’s Zwieback (aduh lupa nulisnya), untuk dimakan gitu, cuman siap2 aja ama belepotannya.
loh botol susunya sama spt anak gue pake dulu ;D cuma bedanya mungkin si Bri dipake tu botol, sedang anak gue berantem dulu kalo mau nyusu pake botol hehe.
