Woke up this morning with a thin sheet of frost on the window. Beautiful clear blue sky. The report said it was snowing last night. The temperature dropped from around 14°C last week – to minus 8°C . We didn’t see anything here. But in Beijing it was a heavy snow apparently. I planned to do a bit of grocery shopping with Briana today to a local supermarket. Peach cobbler with whipped cream sounds too good to resist. I made up my mind to bake one, after getting some canned peach from supermarket. Peach season was over months ago, besides they only sell white peach here, not the yellow one. A bit bland to make cobbler with.
Bri is always great to go out with. We haven’t had any major drama so far… unless she is really really tired. Otherwise she would (insists on) sitting up in her stroller with pillow in the back, watching people watching her or chewing on Singing Bumble Bee’s feet. Since it is pretty cold outside today, we had to put her into a really thick winter suit. I swear the suit was too HUGE on her 2 weeks ago on the trip to Beijing. We bought it only one month ago from Mothercare Shanghai. I was surprised to see the suit was still big on her from waist up – but waist down it was way too short. She’s grown taller so fast. Two weeks ago the suit still fit perfectly! She’s grown out all of her knitted baby shoes. We got a new pair for her today. It’s a one year old size.
Last night she finished 170ml of milk in one go. She slept through the night again like she’s been doing for the past few weeks. Her new favorite song now is “Pop Goes the Weasel” from Barney – Triangles and Squares. She recognizes the tune and would turn around to look at the tv when she hears it. Oh how I would not remember every bit of the scene that we’ve seen 5 days in a row! Even daddy’s complaining that he had that tune stuck in his head the whole day…. waaahahahaha!!! Both Bri and I would sit in front of the tv when the song comes on. I would bounce her on my knees while she “sings” along and giggles, then made her jump when the word “pop” comes.
Briiiiii, dingin ya, kasian ya bri kedinginan idungnya sampe merah, kalau -8 derajat nenek gak akan kuat disana. di rumah nenek dulu bri selalu kepanasan ya.
Bri pinter banget minum susunya, rambutnya juga udah makin lebat ya, sebentar lagi ikut coverhunt rambutnya dikuncir ya. Salam kangen dari nenek ya.
Disini juga udah mulai dingin dari bbrp weeks ago. Tapi anak2 untungnya tahan banting dikasih 9 F juga.

Syukur alhamdulillah kak, dpt yg baik untuk briana. Mungkin disna memang kwalita pekerjanya lebih baik, disini kayanya lebih susah nyari pekerja yg baik, sekarang ini, kemerosotan karakter, etiket dan kwalitas kerja. terutama yg muda2.
