Spending the weekend in Hohhot during winter time is kinda depressing. Let me rephrase that, spending the weekend in Hohhot in any time of the year is depressing. There’s nothing to do out there. I wouldn’t go into details as it was depressing enough for me. The only great thing to do is that we have our little sanctuary here in the hotel. Our toasty warm apartment against the chilly wind of minus 20 something outside, tons of movies to watch with a warm fully-stocked kitchen in case we crave for some non-chinese cuisine. With internet connection, the numbing boredom of being stuck in our apartment is almost bearable.

On the bright side, while we are stuck here, Nenek was having a great time in Jakarta. Parenting Cover Hunt Committee sent an invitation for Briana – and the other 19 semifinalists to attend the final cover hunt show in Grand Indonesia on last Sunday afternoon. She went there on our behalf and told us that the whole show was so good and very well organized. The entire show lasted for more than 4 hours. My gosh!!! Out of the Top 10 Finalists – the jury picked another 3 finalists who would become the official Parenting Magazine models. Their names are automatically listed with the top modeling agencies throughout Indonesia plus all the cash prizes from the sponsors. The other finalists who didn’t make it to the Big Three, were also showered with vouchers from sponsors, gift watches and goodie bags. I guess everyone goes home a winner.
Nenek will surely have a great time spending those vouchers at Oshkosh, right granny?

Iya yah, Oshkosh emang banyak toddler sizesnya. Disini banyak tuh baju2 anak berbagai mereka, lucu2. Dulu Jake and Matt banyak pake overallnya OshKosh, tp disini banyak banget sih merek2 lain lucu2.
