Beginilah gayanya kalo lagi nonton Barney. Biasanya Barney khusus dipasang saat makan aja, maksudnya biar gampang disuapin. Tapi setelah pindah ke Shanghai, acara makan malah lebih gampang. Breakfast biasanya diajak turun makan dari breakfast buffet di restoran aja. Makan siang dan malem ga susah, cukup kasi satu mainan dan duduk di bouncer. Bereeesss! Yang gawat si Barney ga berenti siang malem, disela sama Winnie the Pooh kadang2 karena dia selalu minta gendong kemana-mana.
A quick update; the movers will arrive with our 101 boxes tomorrow. Greaaattt…. (not) *sigh*. Hope we can unpack during the weekend. Please shoot me! Having to care for a clingy sick baby who wants my full undivided attention, not to mention preparing and cooking her meals, cleaning up in the kitchen, diaper changing and feeding, leaves me barely time for myself to do even some basic survival things like having meals or going to toilet. It’s rush-rush-rush according to baby. “Moommyyy, I want you here NOW”. or “Mommy, I want you to stop cooking and watch Barney with me NOW”. Look, I’ve got like 1001 things to do and the watching Barney isn’t one of them, okay??? My patience is wearing thin with all of these pressures — not like I have loads of them to start with. No, I’m not very patient.
I have sh*tload of things to do that I couldn’t do just yet because of this “situation”. However, I had a quiet talk with hubby and we come up with pretty good solution to fix this “situation”. Yeah, we’ll have to wait and see.
We finally made it out of the hotel the first time, just the two of us to visit one of the biggest malls in Shanghai. The plan was to get some warm clothes for baby if I spotted any baby shop, have a quick look at Toys R Us (only look and it’s going to be quick), find some decent blouse for mommy and then head for supermarket for the big grocery shopping. You know what happened? Of course, mommy found baby shop with lots of warm sweaters and jackets on 70% discount leaving most of those cute sweaters cost only RMB29/ea. A quick trip to Zara while baby fast asleep in her stroller, then got lost somewhere in Toys R Us’ aisles. We walked out of the mall with toys stacked up on the stroller and baby was almost buried underneath it. So forget grocery shopping. I wouldn’t even try.
Now, the good news is, nenek is definitely coming to Shanghai next week. She’ll be taking nenek Lan as well (bilangnya nenek juga bukan sih bu?) Yay.
FYI nenek so you won’t be surprised, Bri can now stand up for a much longer time on her own. She would probably walk by herself in a several days. She moves like a big girl now. Few weeks back she’s only interested in taking objects off their container and scatter them around. Now she puts objects into a container. Keep doing it over and over. This afternoon she taught herself to close and open a tupperware and had a great time by herself for an hour or so doing the same thing again and again. She’s very particular — every time she takes off the lid she reaches inside the tupperware to feel the bottom, get the lid back on until it clicks in its place. Then she would drop object from a height, watches it fall downwards and then looks at me as if to say “Pick it up mom — cause I’m going to drop it again. This is fun” Hahahaha…. she’s learning about space now. Depth, height, length, movement.
Duh si Barney neh dari jaman dahulu kala teteup jadi fave nya anak2 ya. Jake and Matt juga ngalamin tuh demam Barney, Sesame Street and then Jake dulu ngefave banget ama The Wiggles. Kala itu masih baru banget di Amrik and mereka belum signed contract ama Disney. Lucky Jake, my friend in OZ always sent him bunch of Wiggles stuffs (the video tapes beda system, gga bisa ditonton)tp DVDs, CDs gga masalah.
Hahahaha Bri you are one cute Barney fan! Good luck with the unpacking ya bu, I always hate that part oh and just so you know I was born with minimum supply of patient LOL.

adooh tuh lagu sering banget dinyanyiiin dirumah bareng2 ma anaknya oos.gilanya semua anak kecil suka ma barney ya kak. bentar lagi si bri bisa nonton barney sambil joget deh kak……kalo joget dimasukkin ke video ya kak…

Tungguin, bentar lagi Bri gede udah ogah liat Barney, pasti mau nya Little Einstein.. dan si emak pasti mabok nonton bareng heheheh.
