It was a little bit before midnight when husband walked into the room after a really long day in the office. Wifey was on the computer doing her html codes.

Husband:  blablabla… blablabla…. it was a good meeting. Oh btw, blablabla….
Wifey    :  (blinks with occasional nods while eyes glued to her computer screen)
Husband:  (carries on) and then blabla….  blabla… I met RR blablabla…
Wifey    :  (takes eyes off her screen for 4 seconds, smiles and carries on doing codes)

The next morning, both in the car going to  doctor’s appointment
Husband  :   Last night I told you… but blablabla….
Wifey        :   (still stares into a distant with occasional nods)  Oh really?
Husband continues blabla-ing and all of the sudden he said “….  owner’s dick!”
Wifey       :   Owner’s WHAT? what are you talking about?
Husband :  (looking exasperated) Are you listening at all?

Yeah well, there are days when I can’t focus on a word he’s saying. All sounds like long blablas. Sorry babe.

Mom and aunty cooked a really really good Bubur Menado with all the yummy condiments. Crispy fried silver anchovies, ikan asin, sambal terasi and beef cooked in seriously spicy cabai rawit. Owwww! You wouldn’t believe how hooked I am on chili. I need my chili hit everyday, more often than my coffee hit. I love the burning sensation in my mouth, sort of heighten my tastebuds. Like a good slap in the face.

Briana is getting more active everyday. I mean she’s an active baby to start with, but her new walking skill keeps her on the move the whole time. Fidget here, fidget there, walk…walk…walk…. fell down, back up again and carry on walking. Stop to pick up crumbs off the carpet, eats it. If it’s inedible and looks like someone’s going to scrape it out of her mouth, she’ll quickly swallow it …. whole. The evidence of various objects she swallowed are usually found the next day  -  some days we found orange seeds or cotton balls. Other day we found chestnut shells, or my toe ring….  *nah, just kidding*  but the chestnut shell is true

I still have some photos left from a Sunday brunch two weeks ago in downtown Shanghai. Some of you may still be curious what David looks like.  Remember, he cooks and bakes yummy things. Take him out to a seafood brunch with free flow champagne and he’ll love you forever.
