Later that day after the casting, the agent called to tell us that we got the job. The shoot will be arranged the next morning, which will be used mainly for the winter catalog of Combi baby products. I’m sooooo excited. So does Daddy. And baby……? has no clue to what just happened, carries on playing with her toys on the carpet.

Usual activities in the apartment; wake up and rush to the shower, get dressed and went into kitchen to cook baby food, washed feeding utensils, setup feeding chair + utensils in living room while putting Barney DVD on. Woke up Daddy and baby
08:00AM
Feeding baby, making tea & nibbles for both of us, packing diaper bag, snacks & drinks, packing baby toys and spare clothes
Back to bathroom continue putting on clothes & make up
08:30AM
Daddy getting stroller ready, help to load everything into the car
Mommy forgets baby drinks & hairclip – went back upstairs to the room
Received sms from agent to bring extra clothes – went back upstairs again the second time
Finally car takes off, running a little late
09:20AM
Baby vomits in the car
Daddy & mommy blame each other for giving too much breakfast & for forgetting vomit towels at home
There was one other baby boy at the set, Max (I think he’s 9 months old) who had been a Combi baby for several times. Compared to the cuddly Max, Briana was a handful, little maggot. Jumping or running from one corner to the next, constantly on the move, curious to explore everything. They had to replace several shots of Briana who wouldn’t stand still long enough with one of Max instead.
11:00AM
Energy still high, all babies and parents still laughing and giggling, running around (or after), playing catch with ocassional shoots. While baby’s posing, the said parent stood nearby helping to arrange props, arrange baby or yelling funny words to get baby to smile or laugh.
12:00 noon
Parents start getting hungry, babies start getting cranky and tired. Briana’s nap time is around this time. Whoa, there couldn’t be a worst time to get her in a good mood. This is one of them. She’s getting more and more whiny every minute. The photographer’s job is not getting any easier. Parents need to get more involved and occasionally being in the shot as well (ah well, just the tip of Daddy toes). Rearranging baby to certain angles or to do things as the shot required, it’s a mad job, honestly!

Finally the shooting is finished, they get the shots needed. Everyone is happy. Shake hands, swapping name cards, etc etc. Yes it was a pleasure. Definitely a hard hard work, man! I’m so proud that Briana seemed to enjoy the shooting in general – well apart from the little incident she had because of her nap time. The second time making her own money, at the age of 14 months. Wow!
