That tuft of super fine hair can finally be put into two tiny pigtails. I left her with the babysitter for the afternoon and came home to find they’ve been playing dress up. Honestly, that baby face with two tiny pigtails sprouting from her head was the cutest look I’ve ever seen I couldn’t help burst out laughing
Her hair seem to be growing well, much better than the first batch that she was born with. This one, although darker and much finer than the one before, is much stronger. When Briana was born, her hair was color was much lighter and thicker, almost curly when wet. I was half hoping that it’s going to have a more defined curls when she’s older. The little girl was scheduled to take her Varicella vaccination last week and she did very well. Like all her injections before, she never really cried hard. Just a few sobs and tears, then big hug to kiss it better and then off she goes again running around. What a brave little girl, you are! Early next month, we schedule her for the MMR and booster shots. The doctor would probably ask me to have a booster as well for the Hep.
For the past several days the weather in Shanghai has been quite gloomy. It rains almost everyday, a non-stop drizzles from 3 days ago. On any other day we would’ve spent some days outside playing in public park or head to a kid play center in Superbrand Mall. But not this time. I’m quite happy staying home cooking food for the little one, finishing the last season of Heroes and plugin hunting on the net. There aren’t too many plugins out there compatible with Mac, a bit frustrating! I’m running CS5 on Mac – and hundreds of those plugins I have from CS4 Win are becoming useless. A lot of sites commented on the fact that plugins developer don’t really want to provide the Mac version because they keep changing their platform, unlike a steady Windows. Wait a minute, isn’t Mac supposed to be THE goddess of graphics?
We’re also sorting out a potentially big problem about our visa. Long story short, it was a bitter incident which was meant to create trouble for us. I couldn’t say more, but it could cause us to be repatriated back to home country NZ. But hey, the most important thing is that it all seem to be working out nicely in the end. At least that’s what I’ve been told. Let’s hope so.

bukannya ada visa semacam residence permit, ijin bekerja? mesti apply working permit dulu, yang di-renew setahun sekali. dengan berbekal ‘working permit’ itu + medical check up, terus tinggal apply “working permit visa” yang berlaku juga satu tahun. terus anak dan istri (kalo istri gak bekerja) tinggal apply nyantel ke “working permit visa” suami. wktnya juga sama persis 1 tahun.anakku yg nomor dua WNI, visa-nya nyantel dg working permitku. visaku 1 tahun, visa dia juga 1 tahun. kalo anak2 di bawah umur 12 tahun, gak usah medical check up.

@ Yendoel: sama kok Yen, pake work permit suami valid 1 tahun, cuma karena kita pindah kota, dari Inner Mongolia ke Shanghai, registry office yang di IM nggak mau kasi surat pindahan. Ada ajalah alesannya, minta pelicin lagi… Moga2 minggu depan udah beres sih. Ribet juga kalo sampe dipulangin

oh.. kalo gitu kayaknya minta revise alamat & tempat kerja di kartu ‘working permit’ (bukan yg di paspor) ke bagian ‘lao dong ju’ .. yg urus soal perburuhan/working permit,labor, dll.tapi kalo misal ganti kantor tempat kerja, kali mesti submit macam surat keterangan hire pegawai dari kantor bersangkutan, kontrak kerja, surat ijin usaha si kantor, dan syarat2 lain yg diminta. terus minta dicap. lapor juga kepolisian setempat (kalo belum lapor kedatangan). harusnya sih gak dipersulit. tapi mudah2an dah beres yah…
