The Urban Mama is a great website that I frequently visit to see what other moms are doing and also a great place to seek good advice, make friends or learn about tips ‘n tricks to take care of the lil one. One day while browsing the forum, I found out about this baby contest from Oshkosh. Quite simple requirements – sending a picture of two of your cute little one wearing his/her favorite shoes plus a short story to go with it.
The photo part wasn’t too difficult as I keep practicing taking baby shots so I have many of them. Favorite shoes part is also easy, quite obvious Briana has her favorite shoes, “si putih”, that she wears most of the time and even plays (or nibbles) them as they were her toys. The short story was the part that I struggled a bit. I’m not much of a writer really. I used to write long marketing collaterals in the old days, but I seem to lose the skill over time, getting more into practical things like cooking and changing diapers. *giggles*
To my surprise, genuinely surprise, an email from TUM about Briana’s winning. I never refer any of this as my winning. It’s all hers. Her blessings, her persona, her luck.
