I’ve been so looking forward to this playdate. Sounds so exciting meeting other moms & babies after living in “almost” solitary for 6 months in Shanghai. Barely a new comer but I didn’t make time to go to this mom & baby clubs or coffee morning.
I wasn’t too sure what to expect from those meetings. Mind you I’m not much of a social butterfly and prefer to explore Shanghai just the two of us. Until recently when I become active in Shanghai mama forum, I start thinking that meeting other moms & babies might be an excellent idea. Briana needs to find playmates of her age and I certainly need to get out more.
There’s nothing like chatting with other moms over a home-cooked lunch. Yes, I might’ve been a little bit overboard with the food prep, but I enjoy cooking and especially the company. Lunch was a simple Indonesian menu – Soto Ayam (Indonesian chicken soup) which I had to admit not exactly my usual tasty Soto Ayam, Ayam Goreng Kunyit (Indo Fried Chicken), Perkedel Kentang Daging (Potato Cake with mince beef, Tahu Isi Ayam-Udang (Stuffed Tofu with Chicken & Shrimp) lengkap dengan bumbu kacang cuka siramnya. I also baked a pan of Peach Cobbler which I forgot to serve coz we had to hurry down to the pool…. sorry girls!
I think everyone had a great time. I sure had.

Kak, makananannya banyak banget?. Repot dong kak, masak sendiri. Asyik kali ya main tamu2 an. Briana gak takut lagi berenang?. Waktu dulu umur 5 bulan kan dia jago renang, cucu nenek kan calon perenang olimpic.Cium buat briana
